Pinetop & the future of blues

The Pinetop Workshop is in session!

Come see students jam at Hopson Hospitality tonight, then join their instructors onstage Friday 7pm at Ground Zero Blues Club. It's an all-star lineup of musicians teaching the next generation here:

Bob Stroger, Bob Corritore, Tony Braunagel, Johnny Burgin, Danielle Nicole, Brandon Miller, Candice Ivory, Ben Levin, Lee Williams, Heather Crosse, Grace Kuch, Ian Harper, Wyly Bigger, Jesse Black, Andrew Sullivan AND Harrell Davenport.

All together with young blues musicians from Mississippi and across the country.

Backstage here is Gracey Williams with her parents. Gracey's from Hill Country and just celebrated her 14th birthday onstage at Women in Blues.

Diunna Greenleaf spoke on the same Women in Blues stage about her experiences playing with Pinetop Perkins...

Who drove a tractor right here at Hopson -- where the Pinetop Perkins Foundation is now teaching Gracey and this next generation of musicians.

There's some full-circle magic happening here. Come see it in action!

Hopson's jams are free and $15 at the Ground Zero door supports the Foundation, this workshop and its musicians.
