Good news: King Biscuit Week is going to be epic this year. Thanks to the Clarksdale Press Register for sharing positive stories about what's happening here.
What's happening? 5 full days of the best blues in the world, starting Wednesday NOON in Clarksdale, continuing through the King Biscuit Blues Festival in Helena Friday-Saturday, and returning for the Homecoming benefitting Pinetop Perkins Foundation and Super Blues Sunday here.
Support the Biscuit on their website, and sign up at www.livefromclarksdale.org/biscuit to be the first to hear when all our tickets go on sale... Soon.
Feels fitting to share the front page with the City of Clarksdale Government's bridge reopening. AND news yesterday from Helena Harbor & Phillips County Economic Development that $43.9m funding was just released for work on the bridge between our towns.
They plan to strengthen it for the next 20+ years.
Which is what we're all working toward with the Biscuit!

Some of y'all remember when our new Editor in Chief Josh Troy worked in Helena. We're glad to have him back in the Delta, and appreciate his perspective on how our small towns can do big things together.
